Hearing Representative

CostFirst Corp. is looking for a highly motivated hearing representative for our dispute resolution team. Candidates must have minimum 5 years of experience in workers’ compensation lien negotiations and litigation. IEA certificate or Certificate of Self Insurance a plus.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage account inventory.

• Create plans of action.

• Communicate professionally with clients and providers.

• Generate appropriate legal documentation.

• Draft legal pleadings.

• Review and summarize complex medical records.

• Develop legal arguments for lien negotiations.

• Prepare legal exhibits.

• Make telephonic court appearances at lien conferences and in-person appearances

  at lien trials.

  Skills:

• Knowledge of the California Labor Code statutes, Rules and Regulations, case

  law, and California workers’ comp. fee schedules.

• Understanding of WCAB policies, procedures, and legal terminology.

• Excellent verbal and written skills.

• Able to work under pressure.

• Enjoy working within a team setting.
